Jim Pickles is a Partner in KPMG LLP/the International Accounting and Advisory Firm. Jim is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in British Columbia and specializes in working with financial institutions. Jim moved to Vancouver in 1973 from England, and to Hong Kong in 1977 where he became a Partner, returning to KPMG Vancouver in 1989 as a Partner in KPMG Canada. For three years Jim was Chief Marketing Officer for KPMG Canada and a member of KPMG's National Management Committee. Jim lives in West Vancouver with his wife Celia. They have three children in their twenties.

Jim has a long record of voluntary service at Board level in business and community organizations. Jim has, at various times, been a Director of the Hong Kong Canada Business Association, Treasurer of the North Shore Independent School Society (Collingwood School), a Director of the Endeavour Society and the Canadian Craft Museum, and more recently, the Treasurer of the Playhouse Theatre Company. Jim says that he has found his voluntary work "fulfilling, challenging, very interesting and fun!"
