Walter Segsworth has been an active and respected member of the international mining industry for 30 years. He is currently a board member of four companies in the resource sector. He was President and CEO of Homestake Mining Company from 1998 – 2002, and prior to that President and CEO of Homestake Canada and President and CEO of Westmin Resources. Previously, Walter had an extensive and varied career with Noranda Minerals. Walter is widely recognised as a mining industry expert in turn-around situations, environmental excellence, and employee safety. Walter is a past Director and Chairman of the Mining Associations of Canada and British Columbia, and was voted British Columbia Mining Industry Person of the Year in 1996. He has a BS in Mining Engineering from Michigan Technological University.
