Jump-start your journey into the Maker world.
The goal of Project DIY is to equip you with the skills and do-it-yourself know-how to jump-start an exciting journey into the Maker world. Tinker with electronics, learn to write code and explore hands-on skills like carpentry and crafting.
This program is open to young women ages 12–15. Space is limited to 16 registrants.
Saturdays from May 28–June 25, 2016
Science World Members: $270 (5 sessions) | General Public: $300 (5 sessions)

Participants will cover 6 different topics over the course of the program:
- Website coding
- Fabric-dying with Indigo
- Wearable circuitry
- Polaroid film
- 3D printing
Experts will introduce each topic, including the science and technology behind it. Afterwards, participants will be introduced to basic skills or have the opportunity to take their skills to the next level. Sessions will be designed in such a way as to allow participants to build on projects from previous weeks, but are ultimately open-ended to allow for creativity and exploration.
