Face your Coulrophobia (fear of Clowns) with Gordon White, long-time clown performer with the world renowned Cirque du Soleil. Learn why some people find clowns so scary in this hilarious and informative presentation.

We Dare You…
Face your fear of snakes with the Westcoast Reptile Society. They’ll be back with their incredible collection of snakes and reptiles. Get a chance to handle some of the rarest and most misunderstood creatures on earth.

PJ Party
What goes bump in the night?! Put on your PJs, grab your safest teddy bear and join us for a night of scaaaary science. Explore our new feature exhibit SCREAM!, then curl up in Science Theatre for a night-time showing of Monsters, Inc.

Beard of Bees
We Dare You…
Are you brave enough to wear a colony of 3000 honeybees…on your face?! Courageous volunteers will carry three pounds of bees on their chins and brave the danger of death. Test your courage and volunteer, or stop by and watch this once-in-a-lifetime stunt!

Emotions Puppet Show
Join Marla Rosen, a Montessori Teacher, as she performs “Emotions” her interactive puppet show and live sing-along concert. Children are invited to explore their feelings, including fear, in this fun-filled musically and visually enriching show.

Why are so many people afraid of needles? Representatives from Canadian Blood Services will be here to debunk some popular myths about donating blood. Test your blood to find out your blood-type. Face your fear of needles and sign up as a blood donor and help save lives.

We Dare You...
Do you like scary movies? Watch as Celine Godeau, Gemini Award-winning makeup artist from Blanche MacDonald, transforms a Science World staff member into a creature of the undead. Chat with Celine and watch how oozing, blood-spurting, horror film monsters are created.

CREEEEEAK!
Experience the art of movie sound. Soundtracks, creepy monster noises and voice changes are all created by foley artists to make a movie scary. Join the sound designers from Vancouver Film School and create a live foley sound recording. It’s also your last chance to check out SCREAM! Featuring Goose Bumps!
