Green Month highlights at TELUS World of Science

For schools:

  • Science World's BC Green Games is a digital eco-storytelling contest. BC Green Games (BCGG) supports BC teachers and promotes place-based environmental education. Our project-style inquiry offers teachers and students a 21st century learning opportunity in scientific exploration, storytelling, campaigning and policy development.

Document and share your green stories, win prizes and celebrate your team’s greenest achievements with BCGG! All participating BCGG teams are invited to Science World for a free field trip during Green Month.

Final project submission January 15–March 1, 2015. Learn more at the BC Green Games website or contact

  • Field trip support:
    • The Lieutenant Governor's Stewards of the Future provides funding and support for high school teachers and other educators to go on field trips, visit local sites of interest, and engage in stewardship projects in their communities.  Apply by January 23
    • HCTF Education's GO Grants help get students outdoors and learning with hands-on experiences in nature. Field trip grant applications are available to K-12 classes and schools in BC.  Apply by February 15
