Science World Weekend Programming

Metro Vancouver Youth4Action, Science World's Teen Advisory Group and BC Green Games' Youth Committee are teaming up to bring you a night of fun, exploration and inspiration. Join high school youth leaders from across Metro Vancouver who are passionate about creating sustainable school communities. Weave your way through TELUS World of Science to explore local sustainability stories. Exchange strategies, ideas and success stories to achieve your goals and to nurture an appreciation for our planet.

Science World Weekend Programming

Join UBC Grad students to celebrate the amazing water we drink every day. Find out what’s involved in water treatment and learn to coagulate scummy pond water, optimize a water filter, investigate bacteria for disinfection and find the winning combination of pipes to transport water.

Jellyfish project

The Mindil Beach band mixes their passion for rock with elements of funk, hip-hop and reggae. They founded The Jellyfish Project to raise awareness about ocean sustainability, climate change and environmental stewardship to Canadian school students.

Come and celebrate the environmental success stories of students’ green initiatives for their schools or communities. BC Green Games projects will be featured on the screen at the Peter Brown Family Centre Stage and in a photo gallery located on the first floor.
