Join Vancity team members to learn how they build healthy, sustainable communities. Then, try out their Community Ring Toss Game.

BC Hydro Powersmart

Join the BC Hydro Power Smart team and learn about hydroelectricity generation by engaging in activities that explore energy conservation tips and tools.

Green Month Clean Up

Get dirty for a good cause and help us clean up False Creek! Meet outside the main entrance under the blue tent. Garbage bags and latex gloves supplied.

Around TELUS World of Science

Chickens, bees and beets! Oh my! Come out to the science park and discover what you can do to help create a sustainable community and a healthier planet. On April 25 at 11am, join Tire Stewardship BC and Marathon Paving in celebrating their outstanding contributions that made our new rubber flooring (made of recycled BC tires) possible!

Return It

Come and meet the Encorp mascot, Return-It Man, and have all your questions on recycling and sustainability answered. Learn all about the bottle depot process and play a recycling game for a chance to win a fun activity book!

Global Rewind

Metro Vancouver Youth4Action, Science World's Teen Advisory Group and BC Green Games' Youth Committee are teaming up to bring you a night of fun, exploration and inspiration. Join high school youth leaders from across Metro Vancouver who are passionate about creating sustainable school communities. Weave your way through TELUS World of Science to explore local sustainability stories. Exchange strategies, ideas and success stories to achieve your goals and to nurture an appreciation for our planet.

Science World's Green Month at TELUS World of Science

Waterlogged is a citizen science project where people can participate by taking samples from surface water sources—which is then analyzed and shared online so everyone can see differences in water quality around the Lower Mainland. Come learn about their research and how you can become a citizen scientist too!

UBC Waste and Water

Join UBC Grad students to celebrate the amazing water we drink every day. Find out what’s involved in water treatment and learn to coagulate scummy pond water, optimize a water filter, investigate bacteria for disinfection and find the winning combination of pipes to transport water.
