How to Help

There are many ways to help Science World inspire the young minds of British Columbia.

Individual

If you're an individual, you can donate to Science World in four ways.

  • Cash donation. Make a one-time or monthly donation by phone or online. Better yet, join Science World's Champions Circle. With a tremendous annual commitment of $5,000 for three years, this group of community leaders are passionate about inspiring BC’s future science and technology leaders today.
  • Gift of securities. Gifts of securities are an easy way to make a significant difference to Science World while receiving important tax benefits. If you own securities or equity, you can support Science World in several ways: through a direct transfer of shares, by making a pledge or by donating options.
  • Gift-in-kind. Science World welcomes gifts of services and materials. By keeping our costs low, gifts-in-kind help Science World direct its dollars to where it’s needed the most: inspiring young minds.
  • Planned giving: With gifts by will, charitable remainder trusts, RRSPs and other methods of planned giving, our knowledgeable staff can help you create a lasting legacy for future generations of scientists and innovators in British Columbia.

Corporation

As a corporation, you have an amazing capacity to help Science World inspire the innovators of tomorrow. There are several ways corporations can make an impact.

  • Cash donation. By partnering with Science World, your company invests in BC’s future science and technology workforce. Call us now to discuss how we can work together in creating an innovative culture in BC.
  • Sponsorship. Science World welcomes over 500,000 visitors to our False Creek facility every year. We also take our zany brand of science outside the dome to reach over 200,000 students, families and teachers in communities throughout the province—no matter how remote. Science World has many sponsorship opportunities available both within the facility and through our Community Engagement programs. If you are interested in exploring a partnership to improve our programs and exhibits or extend our reach even further, we would love to talk to you.
  • Equity giving program.  This unique giving program allows BC companies to share their present and future success with Science World while investing in the innovators of tomorrow. As a corporation, you can grant us stock options, donate shares or, if you don’t have room in your stock option plan, you could make an equity pledge—a commitment to make a donation to us in the future based upon the growth of your company (as defined by you).
