Science World is a registered charity dedicated to engaging British Columbians in science and inspiring future science and technology leadership in BC.

“Science World is a wonderful place that my kids love going to. It’s a great facility for us to have in Vancouver. I donated a tile for each of my sons for Christmas and I’m having their names put on them so they can come back and take a look at their tiles.”

Dr. Stacie Ross

“My kids love Science World when they’re there. It keeps them happy, engaged, and learning and we love it when they love to learn and Science World does that. The tile campaign is a way of supporting the great work Science World does and preserving the wonderful memories we have with our kids. Our kids will draw and write their names on the tile and they can go back and be reminded of great memories and all of it goes towards what we think is worth supporting.”

Help support science engagement and education in BC.

Give to Science World and be recognized for your support in our new outdoor science park, opening in the summer of 2012.

Your gift of $200, $300 or $500 will contribute towards Science World's Bridging the Science Gap Capital Campaign.

In partnership with Interstyle, a Burnaby, BC-based glass-tile manufacturing company with a global reputation, Science World is giving community members the chance to have a personal tribute artistically displayed within the park on a beautiful recycled glass tile. Glass tiles can be customized with a name or hand-drawn picture.

The Ken Spencer Science Park

Science World is moving our playful approach to learning outside to spark children's interest in environmental science.

In the summer of 2012, the newly revitalized 35,000 square-foot area surrounding our False Creek facility will become an exciting interactive science park dedicated to sustainability. Named after longstanding supporter, Ken Spencer, the science park will also be the home of your donor tile.

To secure your recognition tile in the new Ken Spencer Science Park, contact
Heena Chauhan, Development Officer, at 604.443.7483 or giving@scienceworld.ca.
