Power Smart Month: BC Green Games Energy Prize

October is Power Smart Month!

In honour of BC Hydro's Power Smart Month we would like to highlight last year's BC Green Games Energy Prize winners!

Energy Prizes are awarded to those projects that champion energy conservation in an insightful and instructive way. Use your creativity and your passion for the environment to be a leader in energy conservation. Check out last year's winners and get inspired to submit your own Energy Prize entry!

Reduce your carbon footprint and kick-start an electrifying Energy Prize entry!

This year, BC Green Games and BC Sustainable Energy Association's Climate Change Showdown have teamed up to offer more resources, more project support and more prizes!

Register your team early for the BC Green Games  and your grade 4–7 class could win one of ten workshops* with climate change specialists from BC Sustainable Energy Association (BCSEA).

Climate change workshops provide students with a framework to understand greenhouse gas production and management. The program helps students develop long-term strategies to reduce their greenhouse gas contribution by promoting accountability and consistency.

Grade 4–7 teams that register by November 30 are eligible to win one of ten workshops in qualifying regions!

Don't forget, teams that register by November 30 are also entered to win one of six Sony cameras!

Visit bcgreengames.ca to view last year’s winners and over 650 other projects that cover a range of topics including waste reduction, community stewardship and energy conservation.

Registration Period: September 15–November 30
Project Submission Period: February 1–March 1
