Early Learning
Science World is committed to provide children of all ages opportunities to learn and explore the wonders of science. Children can explore at TELUS World of Science, at their centres, at school and at home.
Science World supports early learning workshops for ECE caregivers, Strong start, and Kindergarten teachers. These workshops offer science activities that foster science in the classroom and at their centres. Big Science for Little Hands @ Home facilitates science learning and provides parents and educators with enrichment activities for early learners at home.
Science World supports young learners by offering preschool science workshops geared for students 4–5 and Kindergarten. The programs are tied to exhibits within TELUS World of Science.
Science World offers children ages 3–5 and a grown-up the chance to explore the wonders of science in four-week programs. These one hour sessions are offered at Science World at TELUS World of Science. The programs are filled with stories, songs and hands on activities to stimulate the natural curiosity of children.
Children, ages 3–5, are invited to explore the wonders of science in the Discovery Lab at TELUS World of Science. Wee Explorers, our preschool summer program, is filled with songs, stories and hands-on activities to stimulate the natural curiosity of your child. Children will participate in experiments and will bring home many of the activities they’ve done during the week.
UBC and Science World have partnered up so that TELUS World of Science visitors can work directly with UBC researchers who are studying cognitive development. Children from infancy through adolescence participate in research projects that explore their social reasoning.
