Community Science Celebration

Celebrate the everyday science that takes place in our community! Explore eye-popping science shows and lots of exhibitors, demonstrations, activities and programs for the whole family. Meet the people in our community doing cool science each and every day.

September 26 & 27

Explore the intricate biology, zoology and physiology of the world’s most spectacular creatures, large and small, in this fascinating new exhibition by BODY WORLDS creator, anatomist Dr Gunther von Hagens.

October 3 & 4

Global Cardboard Challenge

Get inspired and build something awesome using cardboard, recycled materials and your imagination, during our annual Global Cardboard Challenge.

Water Weekend

Interact with water and the water cycle. Where does your water come from and what happens to the water that you use? Chat with scientists, researchers, specialists and employees to better understand and appreciate your water.

Sunday, October 11

First responders are an important and integral part of every community. Join Vancouver firefighters, BC paramedics, Vancouver police, Ecomm 911 and the Canadian Border Services Agency as they showcase who our first responders are, what they do, the technology they use and the role that science plays in their work.

Celebrate urban agriculture and backyard biodiversity during our City Farm Fest! Learn about composting at home, take a tour of our gardens, meet our city chickens and more.
