Ada Lovelace Day

Ada Lovelace Day is an international day (24 March) of blogging to draw attention to women excelling in technology. Since I frankly had no idea who Ada Lovelace was, I figured I should start with her. I think she would have loved blogging. Here's a link to more info on her and Charles Babbage, the guy who designed but did not actually build a predecessor to a computer. I know I haven't done justice to Ada's work or her hairdos, but it's a start.
Tell me about your technological heroines.

And I remember working with Alissa on the Dogzilla vs. The Carbonator project. She was awesome.
