You can walk on water.
Mixing water with cornstarch to create "oobleck" allows you to 'walk' on water! Oobleck is a non-Newtonian fluid with an interesting property: the faster you try to move it, the thicker it gets. As long as you move slowly through oobleck, the cornstarch molecules suspended in the water slide gently past each other. Try to move fast and the cornstarch grains tangle up with each other; the oobleck is surprisingly solid. You can "walk on water" by running fast across a vat of oobleck. (Find a recipe and activity suggestions for Oobleck in the Marvellous Mixtures package.)
