When School's Out, Science Is In!

Get out of the classroom and into the lab for a day-long science quest. Think like a scientist to imagine, design, investigate, tinker and test. Meet new people, make new friends, and work together to solve puzzles and challenges! Keep on reading for more information about our brand-new unmissable Day camps!

Upcoming Camps

October 25, 2024: 9:00am – 4pm (Provincial Pro-D Day) 
Theme: Robo-Quest, a full day robotics challenge. Learn simple coding, build a robot, investigate the marvelous applications of robotics and much more! 


February 14, 2025: 9:00am – 4pm (Vancouver District Wide Pro-D Day)
Theme: TBD

Registration opens on December 16, 2024.
10am for members, 2pm for non-members.

Primary Camp
Children born 2017 or 2016 (in Grade 1 or 2)
$90.00 (Members) | $108 (Non-Members)

Intermediate Camp
Children born 2015 or 2014 (in Grade 3 or 4)
1 Day Camp: $90 (members) | $108 (non-members)

Please note all camps are subject to GST.

Check in opens at 9am and check out is at 4:00pm.

Campers will have 2 snack breaks and 1 hour for a lunch break, which will include time to explore and play in a gallery space! Campers should pack a lunch and 2 snacks, food is not provided.

A typical day at camp includes:

  • A special live science demonstration in our Science Theatre
  • Science Labs: hands on workshops exploring different science concepts with our enquiry-based STEAM programs.
  • Gallery exploration: learn whilst you play in our galleries, including a visit to our feature exhibition!
  • Fun and goofy camp games with a science-twist
  • Learn new random facts, wave at an axolotl*, see a real human brain, stand inside a tornado, and many more uniquely Science World experiences

All camps take place on site, under the dome at Science World! Our campers will be based out of one of our science labs, in a 'classroom' setting. Campers will take part in group-based activities inside and outside (weather/program depending).

Day Camp groups are made up of 20 participants per group. There will be 2 camp leaders per group, and possibly Jr Leader youth volunteers assisting.

*Disclaimer: The axolotl has not learned to wave back!
