Step into the dino-mite world of modelling digital dinosaurs and learn how these extraordinary creatures make it onto our screens.
About this event
How do dinosaurs make it from fossils in the ground to hulking giants on screen? What do we need to know about animal motion to predict how a T. rex would have chased its prey?
Join us for an interactive workshop where we dig into the research and creative decisions that go into re-animating Giganotosaurus, Triceratops and other fearsome predators. We’ll explore the tools that researchers and animators use, and the creative decisions they need to make when creating dinosaurs for film and TV.
This free, family-friendly adventure complements the many amazing experiences guests can encounter at Science World’s new feature exhibition T. rex: The Ultimate Predator, presented by RBC and White Spot Restaurants.
