On The Road – Campbell River Community Science Day

Come join us and explore science in YOUR community at the North Island College in Campbell River for a Community Science Day on Saturday May 30th, 2026 from 10am-4pm.

At the end of a week of elementary school visits from Nanaimo to Parksville by the fantastic On The Road team, Science World is excited to share their science presentations with scientists of all ages at this free family friendly event hosted by North Island College (NIC).

The NIC will host open labs, chemistry shows and other fun activities. Exhibitors will include: Nanaimo Science, BC EHS (Ambulance), BC Hydro, Genome BC, Gwaii Engineering, MARS Wildlife Rescue Centre, Moses Filters, BC Society of Engineering and Geoscience (BCSEG), and others from the Vancouver Island Science Community.

Calling all participants aged 12+!

Join Girls and STEAM at North Island College for a special 1-hour hands-on workshop. Intrigued by new technologies, artistic innovation, or scientific discoveries? This workshop is an opportunity to put your scientific knowledge to work!

  • Cost: Free! (Limited Spaces Available)

Come join us on May 30th and bring your family and friends to explore labs, activity tables and even step into a real ambulance – come feed your science curiosity!
