Science World's On The Road team will bring the new interactive show "The Science of Sport" to 18 elementary schools in the Rocky Mountain and Southeast Kootenay region from April 27 - May 8, 2026.
This two-week tour through the region will start with visits to Cranbrook Schools supported by the Community Foundation of the Kootenay Rockies – Casey & Corrine Hanemayer Fund and continue eastward through the province, visiting to the communities of Kimberley, Elkford, Fernie, Jaffray and Sparwood thanks to support by Scotiabank.
Designed for elementary students, this new program aims to help kids 'play smarter' by exploring concepts like energy, forces, human health, and technology through engaging demonstrations and hands-on challenges. We gratefully acknowledge the support of the Province of British Columbia in bringing this presentation to schools across BC.
Science World’s fantastic On The Road program brings fun, high-energy live demonstrations and activities to communities all around the province that pique science curiosity, boost science literacy and inspire future science and technology leaders.
