Maker Workshop: Self-Watering Planters

Come tinker with us and explore our outdoor Science Park! Learn about the self-watering systems we use in our gardens, and then head inside to the Tinkering Space to create your own, using recycled materials! At the end, you’ll take home your very own self-watering planter. No prior experience is required.

What is Tinkering?
Tinkering is learning through making. Participants in this workshop will be encouraged to make mistakes, experiment with new materials and create a planter without set instructions. What will your self-watering planter look like? Learn more about the Tinkering Space

What is the Ken Spencer Science Park?
The Ken Spencer Science Park is an outdoor space where you can discover how you relate to your locally built and natural environments. Interactive exhibits and pop-up programming engage and encourage you to think about the sustainability choices you make around transportation, energy, water, food and waste.
