Zoom into Nano explores the world of nanoscience—a world that is too small to see with the naked eye. Nanoscience and engineering explore methods of manipulating materials on the molecular scale to create very, very small structures and devices. The exhibition lets you zoom into tiny structures and devices to see the amazing beauty of natural and manmade objects. Immerse yourself in models of atoms and molecules that are enlarged to 100 million times their actual size and check out the full body interactives!
Advances in nanotechnology are likely to change the way we design and fabricate almost everything—from faster computers and stain-repellent clothing, to new medicines to treat diseases and technologies that are beyond our wildest imaginations.
Nano Scavenger Hunt
After exploring Zoom into Nano, try out our Nano Scavenger Hunt to discover nanoscience connections in our other Science World galleries.
How to play:
- Download the app TurfHunt (by Locatify) from the Google Play Store or App Store
- Turn on Bluetooth (you'll need it to find our hidden challenge locations)
- Open the TurfHunt app and locate our game "Zoom into Nano Scavenger Hunt" on the map
Follow the instructions on the scavenger hunt welcome screen and you're good to go! Good luck in finding all 7 beacons scattered within our science centre.
