The Community Science Celebration will include eye-popping science shows, demonstrations, challenges and an opportunity to meet people in your community doing cool science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) every day.

In celebration of Science Literacy Week, PHD Comics creator Jorge Cham and particle physicist Daniel Whiteson team up to explain everything we don't know about the Universe, from Cosmic Rays and Dark Matter to time travel and the Big Bang. Presented in partnership with TRIUMF and Vancouver Public Library at the Central Branch.

The Community Science Celebration in Kamloops will take place at and with the Big Little Science Centre. The Celebration is a showcase of the community for the community. Join us for this FREE exciting community enriching day to enjoy shows, demonstrations and an opportunity to meet people in your community doing cool science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) every day.

Growing food in a sustainable way means adopting practices that produce more with less, use natural resources wisely and reduce food losses. Join us along with local organizations concerned with food security as we explore the food cycle, food rescue and minimizing food waste with hands-on activities, interactive demonstrations, and information sharing.
