Tinkering Space: The WorkSafeBC Gallery you know and love has a new feature:
Introducing Science World's Maker Studio in the Tinkering Space: WorkSafe BC Gallery!
Learning how to use tools safely and experimenting with different materials is an essential skill for everyone to have and Maker Studio is just the place to go to get the practice and creative space to do so!
Looking for a cool decoration for your home? Come join us in our next Maker Studio to create your own layered paper art! You’ll first learn how to insert and combine different images and shapes on a multi-layer design, then cut it with a Cricut machine.
Meet us after school on Jun 3, 4, 5 and 6 and drop in between 3:00 and 5:00 to participate. Question, imagine, create, and test your layered paper art while consider how to use amazing tools safely. Let’s take home a beautiful decoration for yourself or a wonderful gift for your loved ones.
Good stuff for you to know:
- Maker Studio activities are included in the price of admission.
- You can keep what you make!
- Maker Studios happen in Tinkering a couple times per month — if you're visiting Science World on a day there is a Maker Studio, you can check in for free in the gallery on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Activities are recommended for makers age 12+ and require a safety orientation.
- Please note: Space is limited — we can accommodate a maximum of 6-8 participants at a time and the activity takes around 20-30 minutes to complete. A sign up list will be available if needed.
