We offer a fun way to cell-ebrate birthdays for kids aged 3 to 12. Birthday Party Hosts adapt the activities to match your guests, keeping younger children engaged with playful discovery, while giving older kids a chance to explore more in-depth scientific concepts. Plus, everyone gets to explore Science World before or after the party!

We bet you've wondered... how does an astronaut go to the washroom in space? Explore the science involved in in traveling to space—the many skills, techniques, and equipment needed for astronauts—plus working and surviving there.

Details
- *Total number of guests cannot exceed 30 people, which means a maximum of 18 additional guests per party.
- We require at least one adult per party, which will be counted toward your total number of guests.
- Member Pricing is based on the membership status of the birthday child, not the caregiver or guests.

Good Stuff to Know
How much in advance do I need to book?
Book at least 14 Days in advance, as spots fill up fast! A $100 deposit via credit card is required and is fully refundable if cancelled at least 14 days before the party.
For your final guest count, you have until the Wednesday before the weekend (approximately 3 to 4 days before) to update your final count.
What do I need to bring?
Just bring your own cake and candles, as a meal will be provided for each guest. Please leave the glitter, sparklers, balloons, and pinatas at home.

Can children under 3 attend?
Yes! We're happy to accommodate your little wonders. If any children under 3 will be attending, please email us at [email protected] to discuss on a case by case basis.
How easy is it to get to Science World?
Science World is easily accessible by bus, SkyTrain, walking, cycling, driving (paid on-site parking available) or even by Aquabus ferries!
We're a 1-minute walk from the "Main Street-Science World" SkyTrain station. Paid public onsite parking is available.
Whether you're coming from downtown Vancouver, Chinatown, Olympic Village, Granville Island, Mount Pleasant or as far as Surrey, we're just a bus stop, stroll, or SkyTrain station away.
Can I use coupons and passes toward birthdays?
As birthday parties are considered special events, Science World Memberships, coupons, discounts, passes are not applicable. Science World Members will still need to pay for these special events, though at the discounted Member rate.

Both party rooms are filled with natural light and come with simple decor, table covers, and a colourful birthday backdrop—creating festive spaces without any extra work. These spaces have great lighting for capturing candle-blowing moments and are spacious enough for grownups to hang out comfortably.

For parties of 12 – 20 guests
A bright, cheerful space with plenty of natural light via floor-to-ceiling windows, plus a large backdrop that's perfect for cake-cutting photo ops.
Exploration Lab
For parties of 21 – 30 guests
Ideal for larger celebrations, the Exploration Lab features stunning floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking False Creek, and plenty of room to gather, play and celebrate.
