Live Science Shows

High-energy family shows with spectacular science demonstrations.

Ever wondered how particles move in the air? Why do things fall when we drop them? Where energy comes from? Join us at our demonstration stages for incredible live science shows!

Witness the wonders of science through amazing demonstrations of gravity, air pressure, and electrical energy. Packed with exciting experiments and interesting facts, our 20-25 minute live shows make learning fun and accessible!

You can view the topics being explored each day at each demonstration stage and on digital screens throughout the building.

BalloonsExplore many ways to inflate balloons, experiment with balloons, and some spectacular ways to pop balloons featuring the balloon needle and the awesome hydrogen balloon explosion.
BubblesDiscover the elastic properties of soap bubbles as we create bubble chains, giant bubbles, and even square bubbles. Perfect for your little bubbleologists.
ColdSee what happens to balloons, rubber balls, banana peels and other materials as they become supercooled using Dry Ice and Liquid Nitrogen.
ChemistryLearn the clues scientists look for when studying chemical reactions as you witness colour changes, foaming elephant’s toothpaste, and the explosive miniature cannon finale.
LocomotionLearn how objects spin, fall, flip, and fly in this entertaining look at the science of motion featuring a rubber chicken slingshot and the bowling ball of doom.
