Join us as we look to the future with a special edition of the Girls and STEAM Summit, presented by STEMCELL Technologies. This year we will be bringing together 300 participants to explore and ignite their passion of STEAM careers (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Design, Math).
This year the Girls and STEAM Summit will focus on inspiring the next generation of STEAM professionals as they navigate unprecedented challenges and opportunities. Participants will have the opportunity to engage with numerous different activities that build on their passion for innovation and progress. From building future cities to developing new health solutions and everything in between, we want to look ahead and get excited about the possibilities!

Introducing our keynote speaker
Moronke Harris is an award-winning deep-sea scientist with experience in climate engineering and intergovernmental, multi-vessel research expedition planning on the high seas. She is fascinated with exploration, innovation, and the blue economy. Currently completing graduate studies in Oceanography (Juniper Lab) at the University of Victoria (Canada), her research focuses on innovations provided by the most unexplored areas of the ocean, containing the most potential for discovery. She has spent over 150 days of her life collaboratively exploring Earth's final frontier using submersibles.
Moronke sits on multiple strategic planning and advisory governing bodies including the Ocean Wise Board of Directors and the UN-endorsed Early Career Ocean Professionals Canada Advisory Board.
Beyond academic pursuits, she is founder of creative science communication and consultation brand ‘The Imaginative Scientist’. Brand experience includes 70+ national and international speaking engagements, documentary narration, video production collaborations garnering 300,000+ views, and consultation for gallery installations, video game development, and film production.
She has been featured by TEDxVictoria, Jackson Wild, The National Film Board of Canada, Science World, and The Ocean Exploration Trust and is an active CBC Radio-Canada contributor.
