Robotics Summer Camp participants at TELUS World of Science were in for a special treat on their last day of camp. Scientists and Innovators in Schools (SIS) volunteer Kimball from Kimballs 3D Printing Hub visited to try out his classroom presentation on 3D printing. Campers were blown away by this new technology and intrigued by the idea of being able to print an infinite supply of LEGO®-like bricks.
Experiencing 3D printing live was a lot of fun and many hands went up to ask questions about this fascinating technology. They not only got to see the 3D printer in action, but they also built their own 3D models out of cardboard to learn and understand how it works. Lots of visuals made this learning experience unique for campers and camp leaders alike.
