Winter Science Camp

Discovery Never Takes a Snow Day

At Winter Camps, campers dive into hands-on activities, build confidence, and turn big questions into big discoveries. Each day includes guided activities, time in our galleries, and the kind of joyful discovery that sticks with kids long after winter break ends.

Winter Camps are perfect for busy parents who want their kids to learn something educational and fun while they’re working or prepping for the holidays. They also makes a great holiday present—without the wrapping

Science World Winter Camps are returning Fall 2026. Get notified when registration opens!

Winter Themes We’ve Explored

In the past few years that we launched Winter Camps, we’ve explored cool themes such as Subzero Science and Winter Magic. Every theme combines hands-on learning with imaginative play.

Subzero Science

  • Made Snow Slime (slime + instant snow!)
  • Observed Liquid Nitrogen properties
  • Subzero investigation with dry ice
  • Grew crystals and learned Chromatography

Magic & Illusions

  • Mastered the world’s oldest trick
  • Built illusionary crafts
  • Learned to ‘read minds’ using math and psychology
  • Went home with sleight of hand skills

Meet the Team

Meet some of the friendly faces who have guided campers in previous sessions. Each Camp Leader is either a science educator, performer, or has an academic background in science.

Erika, B.Sc in Biology

Having the opportunity to inspire and foster curiosity in young minds is just so rewarding!

Amel, B.Sc in Biomedical Physiology

Getting to meet so many excited campers and getting to teach them science through fun activities was the best!

Yuwen, MA in Education

I loved witnessing so many 'aha!' moments! I'd 100% sign up to be a camp leader again.

Why Families Love Winter Camps

Here are a few glowing remarks from families:

  • "Both my kids were not excited about having to go to camp over winter break (I had to work), but they both ended up having a lot of fun."

  • "Thank you so much for organizing this winter camp — my daughter really enjoyed her first day.

  • "Staff was amazing with my neuro-divergent child. I felt very comfortable with leaving her in the care of staff."

We hope to see your camper at Science World's next Winter Camp!
