Chemistry Online Science Adventure
THIS INTERACTIVE ONLINE PROGRAM WILL GET STUDENTS THINKING ABOUT SOLUTIONS, ACIDS, BASES AND CHEMICAL REACTIONS USING A COMBINATION OF DEMONSTRATIONS AND HANDS-ON ACTIVITIES.
Can a gas dissolve in a liquid? How can we identify acids and bases (and why do we want to)? What clues help us know whether chemical or physical changes are happening? We’ll show your class some of our favourite chemistry demonstrations to help answer these questions.
Choose a 40 minute session or a 60 minute session that includes a facilitated activity. In the 60 minute session, students will use purple cabbage to create their own acid/base indicator and test it on familiar chemicals.
