Science World is amplifying voices in our LGBT+STEM community!
Tam Pham is a PhD candidate at the Rainey Lab in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Dalhousie University. Motivated to include folks who've shared their experiences of feeling “left out” from conversations, Tam advocates for 2SLGBTQ+ communities within the Nova Scotia Rainbow Action Project (NSRAP) and in STEM fields.
"I’ve learned that you’ve got to be creative…and think outside of what is given to you, and use that to critically think about how to solve problems.”--Tam Pham
Tam's research centres around understanding protein structure-function correlation using different biophysical techniques, computational analysis and clinically relevant applications. Currently, they are working towards EDI (equity-diversity-inclusivity) initiatives within the Faculty of Medicines at Dalhousie University from the graduate student level with the Peer Support Network.
Celebrate with us!
